A CASTING CALL FOR “ZECHARIAH AND ELIZABETH”

December 22 – Fourth Sunday in Advent

In the days of King Herod of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly order of Abihah. His wife was a descendant of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Both of them were righteous before God, living blamelessly according to all the commandments and regulations of the Lord. But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were getting on in years. – vss 5-7

December 24 – Christmas Eve Worship, 4pm and 9pm

In that region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks by night. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for see – I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. – vss 8-11
