Sunday School Classes:
Throughout the year, church youth are encouraged to be involved with Ministry work. During the Christmas season, youth are invited to participate in Operation Christmas Child by filling shoe boxes for underprivileged children.
This past year, our children and youth worked with a local homeless facility, Program Reach. They raised funds and sponsored a family night, providing a PDQ dinner, crafts, face paining, balloon creations, and more. Another family night is planned for the fall of 2019.
This fall, Chapel youth have been collecting and packaging hygiene items for Bahamian families effected by hurricane Dorian.
Kids Club is the Chapel’s exciting version of Bible Study. It is offered every Tuesday evening throughout the school year for children ages newborn (Mommy & Me) through fourth grade. During Kids Club, children are able to come together in faith and fellowship by participating in games, gospel lessons, crafts and dinner. 4-5:15 p.m.
While children are welcome in the Sanctuary during worship, most of our children take part in our amazing Sunday School program located in Seagull Cottage. Each Sunday morning the children gather in the Cottage for an exciting time of song, lesson, craft and more. Every other month, birthdays are celebrated with a fabulous birthday breakfast.
The children & youth are currently using the Buzz (Group Publishing) curriculum. According to our different classes, the children & youth will be diving into topics such as God’s wonderful creation, Moses and the Israelites, blinded Samson, and so many other exciting Bible stories!
