Celebrating over 120 Years of Service
We are excited to embark on a new women’s group and hope to encourage fellowship, friendship with our love of learning and reading. We’ll be reading, A Lineage of Grace: Five Stories of Unlikely Women Who Changed Eternity, by Francine Rivers. The Bible is filled with inspiring stories of unlikely candidates that God chose to change eternity. This compilation by the beloved author of Redeeming Love and A Voice in the Wind contains five novellas about such people—women in the family tree of Jesus Christ. Each was faced with extraordinary—even scandalous—challenges. But they had courage. They lived daring lives. Sometimes they made mistakes—big mistakes. And yet God, in His infinite mercy, used them to bring forth the Christ, the Savior of the world. Their stories still hold great meaning and inspiration for us today. All meetings are held in the Seagull Cottage, unless a change is made in which case participants will be notified.
Each Novella is approximately 90 pages and includes several pages of discussion and further reflection. When we meet, we will discuss the stories and review the questions with open and casual interaction in our group. If you have any questions, please contact Alice Randolph firstname.lastname@example.org or Miriam Kimsey email@example.com If you would like to be a part of this group, please RSVP to Book Club @ the Chapel at (561) 655-4212.
Want to learn more about the God of the Bible? In the Old Testament we meet the God of Israel, our heavenly Father. In the Gospels we meet His Son, our Savior who became flesh and dwelt among us as the only begotten Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. But in the book of Acts, this Savior comes to live within His people, the Church, in the power of the Holy Spirit and through us transforms the world. And that story of transformation is still unfolding today! Join Royal Poinciana’s Bible study group called, WoW, for an experience that promises to inform your mind and order your steps in 2020 and beyond.
WoW Bible study of Acts will include practical application for everyday life, as well as study notes of the geography, cultures and missionary journeys to various nations included in Acts. Our teacher, Kim Kerr, has traveled to 44 nations including the biblical lands of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Italy and Malta, all mentioned in the book of Acts.
Join us each Thursday morning from January 9th until April 2nd in the Seagull Cottage for fellowship from 9:30 to 10 a.m. followed by Bible study of Acts from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
