PEDALS PIZZA AND PIPES
Join organist Stewart Foster for a fun-filled evening touring the newly refurbished chapel organ, preceded by a pizza/salad dinner! Q&A will follow, along with Bach’s thunderous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor performed by Stewart. Casual dress and sneakers is encouraged to explore the many points of interest. Clean hands will also be permitted to sit at the gigantic console and play! $10 per couple or family/$5 per individual. Reservations needed by Thursday, November 17.
December 11, 10:30 a.m., Morning Worship Service
The Chapel Chorus, Chorale and Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Lloyd Mims, present “A Christmas Festival” by Bob Krogstad, featuring well-known carols in a majestic, vibrant setting. Singers who wish to join the chorus for this Cantata are asked to attend at least two rehearsals, choosing from the following dates:
Nov. 20, 27 and December 4. Rehearsals are from 11:40 a.m. to noon in the Chapel. Musical scores will be provided.
December 18, 7 p.m.
The Masterworks Chorus, Soloists and Orchestra, conducted by Ken Taylor, present Handel’s Messiah. Tickets are $25. Concert will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 18 at the Royal Poinciana Chapel. Tickets, which sell out quickly, can be purchased online at www.masterworkspb.org or by calling our Chorus phone line at 561.845.9696.

A MIMS FAMILY CHRISTMAS IN THE SEAGULL COTTAGE
Join Marilyn, Lloyd and rising star Virginia, accompanied by Stewart Foster at the piano, in the historic Sea Gull Cottage for a lovely Yuletide evening of carols and Christmas songs. Wassail and refreshments to follow this seasonal event.

KRONBERG ACADEMY WEEKEND AT THE CHAPEL
The Kronberg Academy in Kronberg, Germany sponsors the world’s up-and-coming international classical musicians. Kronberg’s satellite office in South Florida often hosts events in our area to showcase these tremendous talents. Royal Poinciana Chapel is pleased to host a weekend mini-festival in 2017 to welcome several of these artists in the intimate setting of Sea Gull Cottage and the Chapel.

A VALENTINE’S SERENADE with Victoria Atwater and Bruce Reed
An enchanting dinner theatre evening in the beautiful Kirkman Social Hall, welcoming back to the Chapel Soprano Victoria Atwater and Bruce Reed. Starting with wine and hors d’oeuvres on the terrace with the fountains and beauty of the Kiebach Memorial gardens, followed by a sumptuous catered dinner in the Kirkman Social Hall, climaxing with the spectacular vocal performance of Victoria and her husband, Bruce.

OF FAITH AND FREEDOM – A Patriotic Cantata by Joseph Martin
In honor of President’s Day, the Chapel Chorus, Chorale and Orchestra join forces in this beloved patriotic number. Singers who wish to join the chorus for this Cantata are asked to attend at least two rehearsals, choosing from the following dates:
January 29, February 5, 12. Rehearsals are from 11:40 a.m. to noon in the Chapel. Musical scores will be provided.

JACK JONES IN CONCERT
The Chapel welcomes back its former and illustrious Director of Music and organist for a spectacular performance on the newly refurbished Austin Organ. A gala reception will follow this event.

INTERNATIONAL PIANO CONCERT
PRINCESS CAROLINE MURAT IN CONCERT
Princess Caroline Murat is acclaimed by connoisseurs, critics and fellow musicians for the brilliant virtuosité, profound musicianship and dramatic intensity of her playing. She has been encouraged throughout her career by personalities such as Placido Domingo, Maxim Vengerov and Mstislav Rostropovitch, who spoke of the imagination, color and poetry in her performance.
Caroline plays regularly as a soloist and with orchestra. In May 2015, she performed a program of music by Chopin, Liszt and Debussy at the Palazzo Reale in Naples, Italy for the bi-centenary celebrations of her ancestors, King Gioacchino Murat and Queen Caroline, the younger sister of the Emperor Napoleon.

This Holy Week dramatization features monologues and music depicting the Last Supper, in costumes against the backdrop of DaVinci’s masterpiece.

The Chapel Chorale and Chamber Orchestra present Maurice Durufle’s solemnly majestic work, REQUIEM.
April 16, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Festive choral, organ and brass music paired with stunning Easter floral arrays will celebrate the year’s most beautiful Sunday.
